Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and how we protect it. Last updated: October 2026.
This policy explains how Michael Armenian Souvenir Shop (business no. ), 9 Zion Gate, Jerusalem, Israel, handles personal information. We follow the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 1981 and, for customers in Europe, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What we collect
- When you order: your name, email, phone number, shipping address, the items you bought and any note you add.
- If you create an account: your email and password (stored encrypted — we can never see it), your name, saved address and whether you want news from us.
- When you contact us: your name, email and message.
- Payments: handled by our payment provider (PayPal). We receive the payment confirmation, amount and payer name and email — never your card number.
How we use it
- To process, pack, ship and track your order, and to contact you about it.
- To answer your messages and handle returns.
- To keep the accounting and tax records required by law.
- To send news and offers — only if you agreed, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use advertising trackers.
Who sees it
Only the services we need to run the shop:
- Israel Post — your name, address and phone, printed on the parcel and the customs form.
- PayPal — to process your payment, under PayPal’s own privacy policy.
- Supabase — our secure database, hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).
- Cloudflare — which delivers this website.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Storage & security
Your information is stored in an encrypted database with access limited to the shop owner. All pages are served over a secure connection (HTTPS). Our private records, such as purchase costs, are never visible to visitors.
Cookies & browser storage
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser stores your shopping cart and, if you sign in, your login session, so the site works between pages. The map on our contact page is provided by Google Maps, and our fonts by Google Fonts; Google may receive your IP address when they load.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as Israeli tax law requires (currently 7 years). Account information is kept until you ask us to delete your account. Messages are deleted when they are no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it (except records we must keep by law). You can also unsubscribe from news at any time. Customers in Europe can also object to processing, ask for their data in a portable format, and complain to their data protection authority.
